Ok, I have made some changes to the OMR Standards based on the feedback that has been given. If there is no major objections than this is how the Standard will remain, but as always feedback is nescessary for things to work well. I think that most (...) I'm working on this one and I am attempting to MockUp some of the missing pieces. This is my 1x6 with POLICE on it. I used the BMP2DAT for most of it. Ok, let me ask this then, do programs such as Ldlite, MLCad, etc accept ,mpd files and automatically split them or is there still the need to split the .mpd manually? (...) LDraw and LEdit can't read MPD files without first splitting them, so I see no reason to limit MPD filenames to 8.3. I think that the current generation of tools (LDLite, MLCad, etc.) are sufficiently good enough -- and we don't necessarily want to restrict Un*x and Mac users as well. I'm a die-hard LEdit (...) Jacob, Will .mpd accept more than 8 characters? I don't use it much, but I was under the impression that we had to keep that in the 8+3 format as well. I just found something about this - if the printer driver run's out of memory - MLCad doesn't get notified or at least ignores the errors - resulting in either blank pages (totaly blank) or also getting pages with just some rubish on it ... (...) Yep. The print preview shows it just fine. Everything is perfect right up until the actual print out process when the model won't print for anything. Hey, I thought someone had used filenames that start with M for an official model? Besides, it's annoying to get filenames that resemble part names... m6040.dat is so obviously a model, not a part, that there won't be confusion when it's saved on (...) Hi, Any good ideas for a DAT file for an ice scupture. I have a chunck of snow about 2m x 2m x 3m high. I'd like to sculpt a Lego creation of a few parts. This piece comes on the UCS TIE in blue (and other sets in other colors, I believe). I can't find it on Tore's Tracker page or on Partsref. Has anyone seen a file for this? Here is an idea for a giant differential. I don't know what it is good for, but it works well. I do use gears. It uses a turntable popped apart and put together flipped, with 4 stud beams between the two parts. It uses 2 24t crowns and 2 24t spur (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad)
