Alan, with all due respect, spare me the platatudes, and stop making excuses
for him. Flat out, things are 4 months behind and he could have avoided my
calling out if he was just concious enough to let us know what's going on.

Dude. 4 months and not a peep? He took the responsibility the rest is academic.

Look, apparently the BZ community was afforded a reason. Something that we
did not get. I see it as ignoring us.

Not interested in reaching out to him he shows me little support.

That is already being done. Shame he couldn't just let us know what the deal
is. I am not asking to know what the trouble is. A simple "Hey, I'll be
attending to the side bar shortly etc...." is all that is required.
But I have to instead wait and wait and wait with no communication.

I would have no problem doing that if he were to admit he just can't keep up.
Instead all we get is silence and the collecting of Cyber dust.
Reach out and we'll be there. Say nothing and your going to be percieved as
uncaring.

Forget that. We get no update for 4 months and I'm going to say something.
I could care less what is happening if there is no ground for understanding
by not letting the community know he's got issues. Too many issues to be a
good curator. No appologies. Speak up. Your only gonna piss people off
without a dialog.

Not gonna. And how am I supposed to know what is going on. Dave's personnal
life is not my concern. The side bar is becuase I am a member of the community.
If he's got something going on, give us a shout. Let us know to be patient.
I am not a mind reader. As far as I am concerned he is doing nothing and I
want something done by someone who cares enough to open a dialog with the
community. I'm not gonna feel bad for Dave. I feel bad for the sucky sidebar.

Look your going on the supposition that we know what's going on with Dave.
We don't know. All I see is a lousy job.

Alan, while I appreciate your candor, the fact remains he's busted.
He spent time on other projects during a time when his duties were behind
here in this forum. I am observant and I found his activites to be
conflicting with his responsibilites here.
The irony of the situation is that I am very laid back and I like to
consider myself an understanding person. Yet when I see the lack of caring
and the disregard for open communication, you bet I'll say something.
Deal with it.

| (...) Perhaps not. Eric, while I can appreciate your enthusiasm for LEGO and for your particular theme, I think you are being a bit unfair in this case. You may wish to reread some of Rich's response... specifically this part: (...) Let's hope it's (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha) !
