I call it like I see it. We have not had an update in 4 months. While I came
off as very serious, the fact still remains that he is MIA as far as I'm
concerned. A responsible person communicates. We have heard nothing. I get
no thrill or happiness from bringing unhappiness to anyone. Dave is supposed
to be a friend of mine and a patron of this community. He can't take two
seconds to let us know what is going on?

While I respects Dave's involvment in the communtity here and elswhere. The
fact is his follow-up is terrible. You admit his involement @ BZpower this
conflicts with being the curator here if we languish without updates.

BZpower is a fine site and I think its great. I also stand behind Dave if he
wishes to participate whereever he wants. But we are getting left behind and
I have every right as a member of THIS community to speak out and question
him about his activities @ BZpower which apparently he prefers.

Running contests elewhere and not paying any mind to us here is disconcerting.

My "Nasty" redderick is typical of my bent up feelings. I let them out and I
was calculated about it. There are people here who have worked to make this
a better place. We need Dave's help. We need our Curator.

What if the issue was reversed. Doing here but not keeping up with the
responsibilies there? My point is simple. We need our curator to keep this
place interesting. Thats why the job was assigned. I'm not aksing for
constant change. But with no update in 4 months and the plain fact that Dave
as you say ran the last two contests @ BZpower, then it is clear something
is wrong.

Again the followup is terrible, he has my phone number. We have mutual friends.
Wheres the communication, where is the update, where's our curator?

Flat out I'm peeved. Sorry sir, but tough bricks if you can't identify, your
the one getting his help, while we get the cold shoulder.

(...) Perhaps I should have explained more in detail. It is our policy to have an Administrator or Moderator start and manage contests. Therefore, Dave was called upon to manage two of them. (...) Perhaps not. Eric, while I can appreciate your enthusiasm for LEGO and for your particular theme, I think you are being a bit unfair in this case. As the BZPower Administrator, I would like to discuss Dave’s participation at BZPower since you have brought it up. Dave is one of our moderators. He is in charge of the BBC forum and does his job quite well when he is at BZPower. He also had run (...) (21 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.suggestions)
