I agree completely, and I think this goes hand in hand with the post I
just made [1]. It seems to be happening more and more, not just in .mecha,
but everywhere else as well - Someone will post a MOC, and just recieve the
"hey, that's cool!" message six times over. I'm just wondering what's
causing this. Apathy? Boredom with the current crop? Maybe there are so many
people posting so much that we can't keep up? Or is it, as Greg Oxsen points
out, the way we're set up?
I miss discussion and *constructive* criticism. Without guidance beyond
"good job!", new builders (and veterans, for that matter) simply won't grow.
Heck, the whole community will just stagnate.
Now I'll admit that I'm certainly not the best advocate for this point -
I've hardly posted outside of my own threads. But I feel like I got here
after the party was already done; it's been a long time since .mecha or
anything else I've noticed has had a real, meaningful discussion about
models and technique. I hope I've just been looking in the wrong places.
