Dave, I wouldn't be human if I didn't understand. My heart goes out to you
and your family. I breifly met your wife once, and my impression was that
she is a sweetheart.

Dave, aside from that, you could do simple things to avoid this kind of
reaction from me.

Point in case:

You could simply remove the line on the side bar that says:

"...expect (MOTW's) return in early December."

Come on that statement is 4 months old. You really have got to realize the
implications of your actions in such a visible position.

Aside from the quality of the sidebar, my concern is your spreading yourself
thin and your not maintianing a dialog with the commuinty.

I too keep many of my woes private. I think you would have to pull up a
peice of the floor if I told you some of the things that have been happening
to me and that I continue to struggle with.

Fact is you have responsibilities here, keep in touch with us, tell us you
won't be around for a while. If your heart can't take letting us know
something is wrong. Keep the side bar free of expectations that physically
tie you down, remove specific statments and dates.

Dave, you know I'm passionate, you know I give alot of myself in my caring.
If you ever need help, I am here as well as many other good natured people.
Not telling us, or rather not doing anything to maintain the side bar as
curator is just gonna piss me off. Especially with all the hassle the
initial issue generated.

I'll end this by saying, People are more important than some side bar or a
hunk of ABS. I am real as are my feelings for everyone.

I got pissed becuase I wonder if you realize that people expect things of
you as curator. Say "expect MOTW's return in December" and I'm gonna look
foward to it. Don't do it and I'm gonna be dissapointed. Don't remove the
words and I wonder why you are ignoring us. After 4 months I'm gonna be annoyed.

In the end I hope you will accept my appologies, I had no idea of the issues
you and you family were facing. I then ask you for the same respect and know
that people look to you to keep the ball rolling. Maintian a dialog with the
community you represent and I gaurantee we'll be there for you no matter what.

Sincerly,

Eric Sophie

P.S. Just so all of you know, Dave is the ONLY person to whom I have ever
dedicated a Mecha too. I still have my love for Dave evan if he is not as
verbose as my clowny self. ;)

I'm such a Cunning Linguist.

Oh, Oh, I forgot to say. When tough things happen to Lugnetters, the pouring
out of support in this community is phenomenal. I urge people to take heart
and come to us if you feel it is right and if you need help. Good people can
be a source of comfort.

Of that I am sure.

Love,

e

I guess can now update everyone on what has been happening lately. While it's true that I am a mod of the Bionicle-Based Creations forum over at BZPower, I've always considered my duties as the .build.mecha curator to be my top priority. Have I been (...)
