i have not been around lugnet to really get involved in this matter, not to
mention that the issue here seems to be between you and eric, so i will not
put in my two cents.  i only want say that i'm glad your wife is feeling
better.  i also have a wife and 2 wonderful children, so if i were to lose
any of them, i could barely live myself (not at all if i lost all of them).
anyway, my prayers go out to you and your wife (i'm not just saying that).
i'm really proud of how you handled the criticism without lashing back.  i'm
also proud of how eric was quick to forgive (can you feel the love tonite...?).

on a lighter note, i'm also glad to hear that you're married for two
reasons:  1.  you can understand how hard it is for us family men to find
time to kick out lego creations on a regular basis, and  2. it continues to
confirm that i'm not the only older lego geek with a family.  i can find NO
ONE where i live who shares my interest.  i love the support here at lugnet.

Thank you, Jason. I appreciate your comments more than you know.

Here's a couple of things for public consumption: I live with my wife and
mother-in-law.  When we decided on this arrangement, it was with the
knowledge that this was a lifetime commitment to take care of her (MiL). Ten
years later, things are still working out just fine excepting the recent
near trajedy that caused me to be silent (and absent for a couple of weeks).
Lego is my thing-it's what I do in my workshop, it's how I relax, it's how
my creativity flows forth. Without it, I'd probably go mad watching 'Murder,
She Wrote' re-runs with the mother in law. ;)

Eric and I have a bit of history together. We don't always get along and
frequently but heads on many issues because we're both so passionate about
them. When I finally got to sit down with him last year at BricksWest, we
worked our way through most of our issues and saw that we stand on the same
ground on many things. He's the yin to my yang when it comes to mecha and
without him talking publicly about these recent (and untrue) issues,
.build.mecha would be a far less dramatic place.

Long live the drama...
