WOW! Those are fabulous, especially considering the constraints imposed by their small size. The A44 and A66 are my favorite and the A93 reminds me of the Tead from Mospeada (Called the Beta in Robotech, The new Generation). Boy, creating models (...) Great work Sproat! I'm really impressed with the design of some of these models. I am also impressed with the quality of the rendering. Did you use l3p for this? I just spent about 45 minutes tearing through my parts bins to build a "A91 Heavy Tactical Suit, Kasperic Custom", or as close as I could get to it. I was able to get (...) (...) All the wallpaper and view backgrounds are POV-generated. With the exception of Convoy, they were modeled in MLCad and then L3P'd with the other models. First and foremost, "Moonbase Io" is now called "Silicon Psyche". Why? Basically because the villians in my story are big, sentient robots. (URL) built about a dozen 20 inch tall fully transformable lego versions of this thing years ago (it has a blockyness that is favorable to lego). Never could get the face right though. Yes, the series has more labors in it, tho its hard to find the eps anywhere... took me over a month to finally get the 7 original OAVs, 16 second OAVs, and 47 episodes of the TV series... Actually its an antennae. The piece should be one of those dark gray bars (Lightsaber piece) that come in some of the Star Wars sets. I don't actually know the identity of the part used in the model. I think carriers lend themselves to be light for their size because their biggest main section is hollow, made mostly of castle walls, BURPS and baseplates. I bet if I were to build a (...) Well I was going to do what I've done with my other mecha designs. And that is design a couple of different weapon systems for it and show off all the sub parts. Minifig scale is what I had in mind, because that way it will fit into my current line of mecha. Though it could easily be considered a microfig tank. (...) Thanks! Actually, the ship only needed 2 arctic base sets (bought on sale of course--wise man say don't pay full price for LEGO). Each set has 6 grey window-walls, so my ship has 12. There are six legs that can each rotate out a full 180 degrees. Each lower leg swings along a click hinge. I picture it being some sort of small troop support mecha that is operated by remote. Oh ok, ya , this is important, adding detail or grabbing your eye is somthing I study, each part of the design should allow the eye to transition from one area to the next still maintaining the overall impression, detail of course should add not (...) Thanks but what is "greeblies" ahh I don't understand? About the Joint connections, I use worm gears, turntables and Technic girders to achive the conections, if I make a small prototype I use black friction pegs. I hope you one day build a large (...) well, thank you all for correcting me... battletech is about the only place from whence i know a great deal of mechs... it is pretty obvious how they stole some of their designs, although i'm afraid i haven't seen many anime with mecha that look (...) did you by chance base it on the Fasa "Warhammer" mech? the resemblance is uncanny... if so it's a very good likeness. if not... YOU LIE!!!
