did you by chance base it on the Fasa "Warhammer" mech? the resemblance is
uncanny... if so it's a very good likeness. if not... YOU LIE!!! (j/k, it's
still a very nice mech, and i like how you did the torso and legs and
connected them. is there some way to lock them together, not so they can't
rotate, but so they won't come apart accidentally?)

Do you mean many models in this scale, or this model in a larger scale?

If the former, maybe.

If the latter, maybe.  ;-)

This was really just a sketch, me exploring how to use the Throwbots
ball-and-socket joint parts.  I hope to return to this model (it's one of • my
all-time favorites mecha) with this general layout.  I could probably go
bigger and still be in minifig scale, but the length of the limbs are
somewhat limited by the length of the Throwbot parts...

The "Raidar X" mecha was one of 13 (IIRC) designs FASA was forced to 'give back' to the company that produced Robotech. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) FASA acquires and recycles designs from anime. This is the Macross original J.S. was emulating: (URL) think FASA also has a clone of this other mech, which is pretty lame since it was designed to accomodate a 50 foot giant Zentradi: (URL) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
