Invid Invasion was originally Mospeada (which also refers to the Cyclone
motorbikes)
Macross Saga was originally Macross
The Robotech Masters was ... umm... hmm, I forget too :P
The music for all WAS very cool ^_^

The first series was originally Superdimensional Fortress Macross

The second series was originally Superdimensional Fortress Southern Cross.
It was supposed to be a much longer series in Japan but never caught on, so
they butchered the series together out of the animation they had created.  A
lot died on the cutting-room floor in Japan.

The third series was Genesis Climber MOSPEADA.  MOSPEADA is indeed an
acronym which refers to the cyclones.  Genesis Climber would seem to refer
to the Regis' strategy.

Is Patlabor the series better than the Patlabor movies?  The short time
which mecha were on-screen in the movies was disappointing to me.

And don't forget Orguss which was not included in the American release of
Robotech but (ithink) was related to the Macross series.(and had cool mecha)

Im pretty sure Orguss and Macross are unrelated, because of major animation
and story/polt style differences...Also i always thought it was
SuperDimensional Calvary Southern Cross i dunno maybe i should actually look
around but im lazy.. Ive seen the subtitled patlabor the series like 4
episodes its a lot more comdey but many interesting "Labor" designs,
escpecially the renegade construction robots. Some other good anime are
Orguss 02 and Megazone 23. Hope this helps somewhat... :P
