Indeed, to much is no good, it's definitely a balance thing...like lego

"greebles".  :-,

Greebles are all the tiny little pieces of stuff that model makers put on
spaceships, etc. to give the illusion of detail from a distance.

Ah I see. I call all the little detail pieces "premeditated seagull poop"
:-D   And I mean it in a good descriptive way. It's just a silly term I made
up making the my black horse mech when I was talking to one of the LUGOLA guys..

Agreed...Star Wars overall is a great example of Greebles. Is that a real
word or a Jeremy word? I've never heard it.

I refer to this problem as pooped out. Actually this is the problem I was
having with the black mech. It just looked pooped on.  I think wev'e all
been there...just too much stuff on a model. Tends to lose the overall
design, lines, etc..

and too few, which kinda defeats the purpose.

True. IMO too few details end up looking forced.
