Gaaahhh, I cut myself off! Ahh , What I was saying is, I have always
accepted the fact that the Robots I make will be more for looking than
moving, until now. As the current Lego Technology grows, the reality is that
anyone who can afford to design and build a Robot can have one. This is
indeed revolutionary.(pre made shapes etc..)
No more specialist machine tinkerer custom building his or her own automata.
Just go to the store (a whole lotta times) and there you go, right down to a
compatible "brain". So with that in mind and SCI-FI at my side, I have come
to one conclusion during all my time building Lego. There is only one Robot
for me to make now. And here it is:

The Prototype of the Completed Robot:

I belive it is a worthy exercise in what is possible with Lego. Besides ,
Who does'nt want there own Real Robot!? When it moves it really somthing, 25
motors so far, Ha there's only 24 , but you always gotta add that extra one
right? So on I go...

A friend of mine is filming a documentry on my work, I have video of the
Robot arms in motion if your interested, The Head was not built at the Time.
I'm looking into transfering some footage to Computer format for a few
others. After those Gundams you constructed it's the least I can do!!

Thanks again for seeing my creations in this light, I was glad to share my
thoughts on how I direct my energies towards this mission.

Eric

K , your right on the mark with all your perceptions, I have always fancied
myself an Insect Robot Builder, Air of Fragility, hmmm I like that , yes,
they are fragile, I suppose it comes with the territory - testing, trying
out size and weight combos, I guess that I always knew I would'nt "Play"
with them and that they were statements that I designed - . So, if they
stood there motionless, the Robots would still give off an energy

You've got an unusual insectoid styling theme with your bots,
gives them sort of an alien presence. They are also somewhat
surreal in their ornateness and air of fragility. Like the
red bot, more like a 70's sci-fi artist's interpretation
of a robot or a techno nightmare than an industrial grade mech
off an assembly line.

The black robot must be quite a sight when it comes to life.
I know the effort it takes to make a system like this work well.
Too bad MIT isn't holding another Lego Mindfest. That would
be a great place to show it.
