I finally snapped a couple of pics of the German Sd.fkz 222 Armored Car I recently modeled. Sadly, the scans came out pretty dark (#@#*^$^ scanner), but you can still see it okay (especially if you play with the contrast and brightness on your (...) Those assault walkers are real sweet, I especially like how you've put those horrible Aquazone cockpits to really good use, also in the civilian flyers. Nice work! Coooool. Personally, I like the compactness of the Sauron, with the triple engine cluster. Reminds me of a Cylon Raider. Very nice. The Mandrill has some good solutions using the ThrowBots pieces. <SOAPBOX>Generally (as I understand it at least), an assault is a direct confrontation, usually from the front. With a prepared defender, losses to the attacking forces can be frighteningly high. (...) That would be more of a fast attack/light assault mecha. Assault Mecha would have heavier armor, more powerfun weapons, and a slower rate of fire, thereby moving slower. Does anyone else think that these would be GREAT space elements? I know I know there prefab and kinda big but after adapting them to system scale you could use them for all sorts of purposes. -a large cryo unit! -an escape pod. You could add all (...) Ahh, the ageless question :) Dave Eaton and I, in the course of our AT-AT Marathon (I'm still recovering ...) e-mailed each other regularly on issues about scale. I think the problem is here that Lego have contradicted themselves with their scaling in certain models. They produce trucks and cars at 4 stud wide, passenger planes at 4 stud wide, yet trains at 6 studs wide? I have seen trains on the back of (...)
