That would be more of a fast attack/light assault mecha. Assault Mecha would
have heavier armor, more powerfun weapons, and a slower rate of fire, thereby
moving slower.
Macross/Robotech Valkyries would probably fall into the light assault category
(with the armored versions falling into medium assault category). The Gundams
in Gundam would probably fall into Heavy Assault, even though they are fast and
manueverable.

Wouldn't that then mean that it is an assault mech? ;) (Actually, I'd call it
Very Heavy Assault, but that's just me. :) )

P.S. These are just my opinions. I have formed these after years of playing
various strategy games and talking with people who really like mecha combat.
