Ralph, I am creating my Classic scale LEGO town with an HO Train and track. My old
yellow train station originally had a 3 track covered train shed (on my website). The
shed opening originally had 1x8x2 yellow arches for the train and tracks. Then I
(finally) got enough of the rare yellow 1x5x4 half arches (12) to rebuild it with a
larger opening for the trains. And since LEGO classic metal wheeled cars are so
expensive, I have about 3 dozen German model cars (Viking and Herpa). Although lately,
I did get some ESSO, Shell, and other classic metal wheeled cars and trucks. And
minifigs are out of the question in the classic scale.
Actually one of the things that I want to do, is to build all of the LEGO Town Plans
from 1957-68. That involves 3 different LEGO boards (one early European, one
European/American, one UK). The total number of different Town Plans shown on the Town
Plan kits (#700/#725/#810) and other old LEGO boxes will make for about 10 different
Town Plan layouts. When I finally get this all together, I will be taking pictures of
all the completed projects, which will including LEGO cars/trucks, old road signs, old
sign beams, classic trees & bushes, old street lights, and Esso Service sign/pumps, old
LEGO cyclists and motorcyclists, and the very rare LEGO policemen/traffic light. This
will take me about 1 year to do.
