the shadow is in the last picture on the super craigo-lego page of my site. • my
site, "craigo-lego" is over in the clsotw nominees again this week, so use the
link there, and gimme a vote! i've just gotten back some great photos of the
20's mini-fig cars i've made using adv. grilles, windsheilds, and wheels.  i
want to post them next.

the shadow 'fig is relatively easy to do.  i had to paint a wild west bandana
red for it, but i also think the bottom half of a red nija hood would look
good. (i did this in grey for my jack the ripper 'fig. see him deep in the • dark
heart of the transy-lego-vania pages)

Hey Craig you get my vote!  You the Man!  I was so blown away.  I had no idea
of the level of customization that could be acchieved with the minifigs.  I
have been customizing Star Wars figures for years but now I can tell my focus
is going to have to change.  Please tell me what type of paint are you using?
I must know.

"The Man Who Would Be King", starring sean connery and michael cain, is one of
my absolute favorite movies! other adventure films that would look great
rendered in lego would be the terry gilliam trilogy of "Time Bandits", (which
has lego references, btw) "Brazil", and "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen".
another i thought of is "Goonies", a good off-beat adventure tale, with a
pirate theme.

i'm trying to think of more with a 1900 thru the 20's setting... boy, a
rocketeer "fig would be cool....

I love the idea of Time Bandits sets.  I know they did Time Twisters but that
doesn't even come close to a Terry Gilliam flick.  I can think of several
Python projects that could work.  Yellowbeard and Eric the Viking spring into
mind, but there are others.  And if you like Goonies did you see my post
mentioning Joe Vs the Volcano or Cabinboy?  Keep the ideas coming and let me
know about that paint.

(...) mark ~ congratulations! you are the one millionth person to ask me that! your "prize" is that i've added a "tips & techniques" section to the main page of my craigo-lego site. (it's the final page link at the botom.) i genuinely liked "J vs V" (...) (25 years ago, 24-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)
