Only LEGO® is LEGO. :)
But seriously, I think it's a very difficult thing to put in logical terms.
Being human, it's a lot of emotion for people. And brand loyalty and all
that.
Certainly, comparing LEGO with Lincoln Logs®, or LEGO with Tinker Toys®, or
LEGO with Matchbox® cars, you won't see the same sorts of emotions, since
Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, and Matchbox cars aren't low-quality rip-offs of
LEGO -- they're totally completely different toy systems.
What's different about LEGO® from its imitators is that it's still -- even
today -- light-years ahead of the imitators in terms of quality.
