  Feels good to be back...

I just wanted to post and say that I'm back on Lugnet. I took a break from posting at a few of my favorite message boards for about a year, because I was very busy with school work and other stuff. I've been lurking though, on here and Brickshelf, (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Another HoverBike

I tried to something different with the nose. I might've seen someone do something similar to this on some kind of bike a long time ago. I don't remember who or when, though. Let me know if the nose looks familiar to anyone else. (URL) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

LPub uses: -cg0,0 -ca30 by default. LPub controls view angle by rotating all the parts to match rotation step specification and view coordinates. It seems like this qualifies as auto-centerable, but it does not always work. Kevin (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Re: A Generic Idea

(...) Yes - using the RCX as a fairly dumb motor controller and sensor input device makes a lot of sense. I've been doing that with the (even more primitive) Scout computers using the RCX as the 'brain'. (URL) modern PDA would make an excellent (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

(...) It is easy to create 0.01 with LPub: Move camera scroll bar all the way to the left (angle 0), then click the right arrow on the scroll bar to increment by 0.1. Kevin (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

(...) L3P can perform automatic camera positioning only when you use -cg<la>,<lo>[,<r>] camera globe position, default is 30,45,0 and radius is <= 0. -ca<a> is allowed too. Otherwise you have constrained the camera too much. /Lars (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Re: Shades of Gundam!

You think? This looks more like a VOTOMS mecha, or something Colin Gutierrez would build. (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Mecha (finally...)

(...) Hey man, long time no see... mechs from ya! I was never really a big fan of mobile platforms, but I really like this one. It is armed to the teeth and looks awesome. All that fire power in the hands of one guy - SCARY. Anyway, great job on (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

(...) 1 degree practically corresponds to orthographic camera. You can also use e.g. 0.01, the camera will be put very far away then. See the effect of various camera angles at (URL) I should add an example of 1 degree... (...) Yes, it is being (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Snaptrax tracks

Hi there, I am just wondering - Snaptrax, the Spybotics tracked thing looks like it has longer rubber treads than treads included in RIS. Is it true or not? I tried to build treads with similar design and it looks like there's much more friction (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

I propose in the spring we all get together and help fix Steve Martins yard. Especially after last nights incident. For those who don't know, we will say we built till 1:30am waiting for a tow. mark (23 years ago, 5-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Soon, soon!

(...) Hi, Hope this helps: (URL) and, I'd use a decal rather than a sticker…if you want better results! (URL) you’re good, you can achieve these with a few decals and a bit of paint: (URL) if you get it right, you can’t tell the difference between a (...)
