The biggest problem I could see, especially while I had my JCB Backhoe set, was that with the handpump, directional motion in one direction was dependent on the load being levered up - the directional motion on the other direction depended on how (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

You could use the tower, and a range finding sensor at the top, with a laser pointer. The laser pointer could be used to detect the position of the robot it the "x" position, and then the range finder could be used to figure out the distance to the (...) The only difference between the 1.0 and 1.5 hardware is the power jack. IMO, the 1.0 RCX is more valuable because of this. I just got a box with the 8006 Swamp Craft, and it appears to have two of the large, angled suspension arms which are also used in the 8458 Silver Champion! I think Mark is referring to mecha that is anthropomorphically female, not mecha that is piloted by a female. (...) ...FWIW, the hollow stud does have one advantage, thin round things (like things a minifig can hold: spears, light saber blades, lances), they can stick into the new head hole... so the new head hole is a bit more functional than the old solid (...)
