However in this case, it's a customer requirement that the user, in the
ordinary course of events, *never see* the old page. Yes, a clever user can go
schlepping around in their cache, and that's OK, but the ordinary user won't,
and the desired business behaviour will be achieved...
Since I tend to take the tack that the customer is right until proven
otherwise, and since I understand why the customer is asking for this, I'm
fairly convinced that a solution as other people outlined is what's required,
and pressing refresh is inadequate. Strangely enough, I was already aware that
pressing the refresh button actually caused the page to refresh!
But thanks for your opinion just the same.
