  Re: GMLUG Users

(...) Wow, the best legomodular club out of how many, two? Never mind that you have several years as a head start on BayLTC and the backing of the biggest privite LEGO brick collection in the world, we will make you work to keep that title - if you (...)   Re: Blacktron Website

(...) IANAL (I Am Not A Lawyer) and this is not legal advice, but the safest thing to do (IMHO) would simply be not to use 4-digit LEGO set numbers -- not just from a legal standpoint but also from a viewer confusion standpoint. Some other hard (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish)

Comments on parts up for vote- Pt 1

I made it half way through the parts when MSOE crashed and lost my comments, so I'll do this one in rounds. 6199.dat - Belville Swing: missing edgelines where the uprights meet the crossbar. Since the bars are equal diameter, this can easily be (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: WTB/WTT: Blue 3x3 corner low-slopes from 3053 Emperor's Stronghold

(...) (URL) of these images are scans from an official LEGO "Bricks and Pieces" magazine -- i.e., not leaks.) (...) I think you're right -- they are 3x3, not 4x4. There's a 1x3 low-slope brick "behind" (toward the back) of the 3x3 convex corner (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  The Shell promo deal

The Shell promotion is in swing here in Southern Cal. Not all stations carry them and not all stations carry the larger sets at the start. The stations are getting them over the course of several weeks so you need to keep coming back and filling up. (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.promo)

Re: Anyone fancy a Cheshire Minifest?

(...) The cream buns were lovely - thanks Tony. Oh, and there was some Lego stuff too. The big advantage of having just myself and Tony present was more time on the train controller each (restraint was required, however as Tony's living room carpet (...)   Re: Comments on parts up for vote- Pt 1

(...) This part, like other "decorated" parts, has a subfile (for whenever I feel confident enough to tackle a *printed* 6x4 flag, like the Jolly Roger). If the DAT file is *just* the DAT file (for the undecorated/basic form), and not a MPD file (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Idle Ramblings

(...) Yep, and since this is being built specifically for a story, accessible interiors are very important! I actually always try to have accessible interiors, just because things are so much cooler that way. After all, why have an interior if you (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Need references

(...) I doubt it...I really do. The Cyclopedias are great for 4 8 1/2 mainline stuff, but suck wind for any smaller/NG stuff. How many photo's/drawings are there even of engines like the Kirkfield Quarry engines? (nice 0-4-0's in 3' gauge, and one (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Lego Laser

Using pointers (pun) from a previous post, I have been building a laser for my robots. I used a miniature laser pointer from Sam Goody which was only $10. The hardest part so far was chopping up the pointer to get out the guts. It turned into a (...) (26 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
