A few things :
For several LOWLUG events we needed tables. In the end we settled for tables
exactly 2*3 32*32 baseplates. Reason : these still go through a normal door
and are still easily carried by one person.
The legs are whatever you want, tabletop height is always exactly 77cm, so
kids can also see what's going on. I made my legs out of 44*44mm wood, cut
to length which fit into aluminium square tube, around 75mm glued into the
inside corners of the table.
To connect tables we made a standard hole pattern on all sides, which allows
us to easily connect them using M8 threaded bolts.
This system was used at Rail2003, Rail2004 and LEGOFestijn 2004 and worked
quite well. Buildup is quite easy and fast.

| We all know that different LTCs around the world have different sized tables. NILTC uses 40x30, GPLR uses 30x60, IndyLUG uses 40x80, NBLTC uses 25x50, etc. There are previous more general discussions of train tables, e.g. (URL) interested in the (...)
