Kudos, comments and kvetches

First, I think this is a great idea, collecting these in one place. John is
too modest because a lot of this groundswell of adopting fallen flags is due
to his own tireless work in creating logos for clubs. While some clubs have
created their own, well over 1/2 of the club logos are John's work or based
on it, I think.

Second, I think the NGLTC logo posted may not be quite the logo actually
used. At least on my shirt it has two concentric dark blue circles instead
of just the outer one. That matches the SR yellow circles.

Third (you know there has to be SOME kvetch) it would be my preference if
this folder included current logos only, not proposed ones. The SCLTC SP
derived logos are GORGEOUS but are not yet adopted so maybe should be in a
different folder. SCLTC, you are now suffering from a surfeit of riches as
Matt's feather inspired/1xn plate WP tribute logo is a very nice logo as
well. Tough choices!

Are there logos that are missing? Although the BayLUG logo is in flux, the
current logo *is* BART (which by stretching the definition is a railroad,
although not a fallen flag) inspired. I think that's it though.

(...) I'll talk to JT about it. (...) Agreed. I created a new one and took out the proposed SCLTC one. (...) Okay. I'll post it and stick the FRISCO one in the proposed folder. -John (23 years ago, 6-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

There has been a cool tendency of many LEGO Train Clubs to pattern their logos after fallen flags (logos from defunct railroads) that once operated in the region where those clubs reside. I thought that folk might find it interesting if I posted all (...) (23 years ago, 6-Nov-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org) !!
