Personally, I'd love to see Star Wars freestyle buckets. The podrace bucket
was a sad start, but along those lines...just because TLC has run out of
actual star wars sets to build doesn't mean they can't make star wars
branded items with a star wars look and feel. Take a look at the old Kenner
star wars toys...They released a number of small toys that were never seen
or just briefly glimpsed in the movie...see these links for example:
http://www.toysrgus.com/images-toys/figuretoys/mtv7.html
http://www.toysrgus.com/images-toys/figuretoys/isp6.html
http://www.toysrgus.com/images-toys/figuretoys/vme.html
So what would these buckets be like? Here's some examples:
The Hoth bucket...contains primarily white/grey/tan bricks to make a few
small vehicles like those above...maybe the rebel turret from the
movie...plus there should be several snow troopers and rebel troopers.
The Endor bucket...contains primarily green/brown/grey bricks and
instructions to make an ewok treehouse, ewok catapult (not sure how one
would model this), ewok glider, an AT-ST (just as pathetically modelled as
their stand alone set) and a basic bunker for the rebels to blow up. Comes
with a few ewoks, few stormtroopers, AT-ST pilot and maybe some rebel commandos.
The Death Star bucket...contains primarily black/grey pieces. Instructions
to build trash compactor, prison block, etc...
Now along with the buckets, you include some pictures of some much larger
things kids could make by buying _multiple_ buckets...for example, in the
hoth bucket is a little booklet that shows you can build an ion cannon with
2 buckets, and pretty nice rebel base with 4 buckets, etc, etc.
