Unless they've changed it since the last time I was there (August 2000) the
Tauntaun is made from bricks. It was a three part diorama, one part was
from ANH and had Luke on Tattooine watching his aunt+uncle get crispy, with
some Jawas looking on. It had the Lars' farm and Luke's speeder. The Jawas
were basically torso-cape-plates for legs-hood-black head.
The second part was Hoth from ESB, it had the power generator and the rebel
hanger with the MF and a Y-Wing inside. There was also a rebel trooper on a
brick Tauntaun and a probe droid (made from bricks, I constructed one from
memory, see my site...)
The third part was Endor from ROTJ, it had a small Imperial Bunker, two
Speederbikes (with Scouttroopers) flying around Jedi Luke. It also had the
large shield generator as well as a landing platform with Vader's TIE
Fighter on it.
The whole thing was inside a circular glass case and was rotating. Each
section was built with proper colors for the base as well as the backdrop,
walls, etc. (ie Tattooine was tan, Hoth was white, Endor was brown/green.)
