  A heart stopping moment

Is this for real? I saw this pic: (URL) And my little Lego heart stopped for a moment. If this is for real, then life is great! (16 years ago, 17-Jun-08, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: FOTW

(...) Way to go Dave! The day you posted this I found some containers of LEGO parts at a yard sale. There were also a couple of containers of Mega Bloks I was forced to buy because I could see some LEGO hull pieces in a container of MB ships, and I (...)   R2-R9

Here's the first MOC I've ever posted. It's a large R2-R9, based on Maskatron's excellent R2 design. (URL) (16 years ago, 3-Jun-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.starwars)

  FOTW

Some here may know that I'm not exactly the most aggressive purchaser of LEGO in the marketplace. Nevertheless, I think I can spot a good deal when I see one. Case in point, I just scored an apparently complete 10019 Tantive IV for $5.00 at a garage (...) (16 years ago, 31-May-08, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: LEGO Magnet and coupler statement.

(...) i imagine those parts will be redesigned as well. imagine a 2x2 plate with a two plate high cylinder on top. i imagine it will look something like that if they do infact redesign it. on another mildly related note, the redesigned buffers may (...)   Re: LEGO Magnet and coupler statement.

(...) magnets. Does that imply that TLG will stop using magnets in other sets? Or will the new train magnets be used more widely. I am thinking of sets like the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer etc that make extensive use of magnets. Kerry Proudly a (...) (16 years ago, 17-May-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.starwars)

Re: How to transport a UCS Millennium Falcon

(...) Thanks for the suggestion. I was actually considering using a recycling bin lying on its side, only that wasn't deep enough. A square trash can would be a great idea, though! Hopefully I could find one for not too expensive... Best regards, (...) (16 years ago, 21-Apr-08, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.storage, FTX)

Re: How to transport a UCS Millennium Falcon

(...) I ended up buying a Mighty Tuff 45-gallon 2-wheeled trash can (made by United Solutions) from Lowe's (I've since seen the same design in a different color at Meijer). It's a sealed-bottom plastic trash can that's sorta square, but has rounded (...) (16 years ago, 21-Apr-08, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.storage, FTX)

  Re: Trade Federation MTT 7662

  Re: Trade Federation MTT 7662

(...) Based on shelf tags observed in early-mid January, it appears that some Walmarts clearanced the MTT after Christmas. I have not, however, been able to find anyone who actually saw them on the shelves at the clearance price. (16 years ago, 4-Mar-08, to lugnet.starwars)

  Trade Federation MTT 7662

It seems, based of the number of MTT's up for auction on eBay, that some outlet chain is selling these cheap. Can anyone share what store this might be? thanks, Anne (16 years ago, 3-Mar-08, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Hoth LEGO Store Display

(...) Nice work! You've met the challenge of the tall, thin display space well. I must say, having never been in a proper LEGO store, I am envious! Spotlighted, naturally. Cheers Richie Dulin (16 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)
