This is the best idea I've seen yet. I wanted to suggest scoring via time,
but because I hate math :) I couldn't bother trying to come up with
something.
I am currently in the process of dissassembling my third attempt at building
a robot for this competition.
1) eCcentrica - never ran, structurally unsound
2) Quadro - ran, but couldn't build an EOAT, lost interest
3) Tijs - Ran, but far too uncontrollable, unstable, jumpy, not enough LEGO
to build proper support structure (resorted to Monorail supports, looked
horrid)
I leave for Florida for 2 weeks on Saturday. I'll have a week when I return
to build something. Not good. :)

| (...) It isn't bad, and it is a far cry from Rob's idea of zero points for an unsuccessfull design... :-/ (...) Good luck on putting out a design... and have fun south o' the border... :) Ben pretend Iain is going to work on his tan in Florida!! :) (23 years ago, 30-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

| OK folks, since I don't have a robot competing, perhaps I'll throw out some suggestions: Some scoring rules I've heard bandied around are: First to finish: +20 or +50... Block wrong: -10 or disqualified Block mispositioned: -5 I'd observe that in (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
