card. I use one myself, so I may be biased :) anyway, I noticed that
quake2 gives me framerates from 11-13 fps, for resolutions of 200*240
(Ick) up to 800*600 - I haven't tested beyond yet. The bottleneck is
my 166MMX processot - it can't give the data to the video card fast
enough :)

Oh, and just for reference, a p166mmx in my office, with one V2 card,
runs at 800x600 and does at least 30fps, and that's 30fps of pure
3d-accelerated quality that looks about a billion times better than
the software rendering Quake2 does itself.

I do about 60fps on my p2-400 at home with dual V2's at 1024x768.
Could probably bump that up to 70-80 if I cared to fiddle with more of
the settings and bothered to turn CD audio off, but I think 60fps is
enough.

G200 is, at least what I hear, the best Picture quality on the market, and the best 2D & 3D quality, even if it's "only" 80% as fast as a voodoo II card. I use one myself, so I may be (...)
