I thought about recommending that the skip-filter be set for the group to
automatically be excluded, but given the cookie nature of the feature, I'm not
sure that's possible.
I certainly think that by default no one should see the flame group, and that
it should take definite action by the user to view the group. If it's possible
to have this start including the flame group in the dots and on web interface
newsgroup lists, great- but the skip filter doesn't keep dots from appearing
when the thread goes to a group you have filtered out.
I agree that, if possible, a user should be able to include it in his normal
reading. But if not, more weight should be given to the idea that a user
should be required to take definite action to read it than to convenience,
IMHO.
