The US is the main target for terrorists (after Israel, of course). SH and Iraq weren’t the problem; it was his sympathy with US enemies that was threatening.

4 Points:
  1. I’d say the Palestinians are on the receiving end of “terrorism” more than the USA is.
  2. I’d say that not all the attacks on Israel are “terrorism”.
  3. I’d say there is not a lot of evidence in the public domain to show that the USA is a bigger target than (say) Russia, Spain, UK, Columbia, Cuba etc etc.
  4. I’d say the biggest attack the USA has sustained since 911 was the Anthrax episode... what has been done about that? Where did the finger point on that one?

4 Questions:
  1. How many Americans have been killed by terrorists since 911?
  2. Where are the terrorists who attack Cuba funded from?
  3. Where are the “terrorists” who attack the Palestinians funded from?
  4. Has the terrorist threat to the USA diminished since Iraq fell?

(...) (talking about Iraq here) It's not that they can't, it's why would they? It costs billions of dollars for such a venture, where the oppotunity cost may never be made up. Unless there is something else about the nuclear plant that one is (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)
