has not always been groundless.

The bigger ‘dirty little secret’ is “Hey! The Euro’s hate us anyway so who
cares about their opinion where ‘world events ’ are concered even though the
Europeans live closer to Iraq than do Americans... and hey! What about (not that
I haven’t mentioned this numerous times before) those Canadians?? They come
with us on all our ‘expeditions’ to right wrong! And yet, strangely apathetic
and downright disregarding us on this one!”

It wasn’t just the ‘usual suspects’ that disliked what you did this time. As a
matter of fact, your little ‘coalition of the willing’ is exactly that--little
in the grande scheme of countries who usually do back you up and yet, somehow,
all absent. Your friends are getting to be fewer and fewer.
