At best the Church is split on the issue.  Most US Christians are with Bush
and support the liberation of Iraq.

How can you say that?  I was at the peace rallies and many many signs were from
Church organizations, from the United, Anglican, Methodist, and even my CRC
denomination--and there's the denunciation right form the Papacy.

You actually think that the radicals who show up at "peace rallies" are in any
way indicative of the sentiments of the silent majority?

All of the denominations you mentioned also oppose the mass killing of innocents
at the hands of SH as well.  Some just supported the decision to actually do
something about it.

[JOHN]

The pope is a radical?  The leader of the Roman Catholic church?

Hmmm...

I think you're confusing the 'religious radical right zealots' you hang around
with with "the silent majority"

Or confusing the 'obviously uninformed' wrt 'coalition of the willing finding
WoMD' and 'strong links b/w SH and OBL' and 'SH responsible for 9/11'.

People who haven't a clue are not the people I would listen to for decision
making purposes, especially where death and anarchy are concerned.

Oh waittaminit--maybe that's a new form of 'radicalism'--disregard any evidence
to the contrary, support the policies just 'cause someone made 'em!  Don't
think!  Don't investigate!  Don't question!!!  Just 'follow the leader!'.

You consistantly avoid addressing the legitimate issues and throw out your POV
as 'Gospel'.

Did Blair lie?  Did CP lie to the UN?  Can you address any of the posted '99
reasons' rationally?  Were there WoMD in Iraq--which, I will remind you, was the
*stated* purpose for your war, before the war started.

Lies, deceit, and excessive spin--Mission Accomplished" in May--Oh wait--'Major
Operations were over in May--and yet, more soldiers there now than during your
little war.

Wake up!  Take off your Bush covered glasses and smell the rankness eminating
from your White House.  The world is *not* safer today than it was before your
little war.

Trash the Euros all you want.  Malign the people not supporting this war as
'radicals'.  You are just reinforcing the xenophobia that some people of your
country have, and sending yourselves down that road of increasing alienation.

Bottom line is, it is you, the unlearned and unquestioning 'dittohead' that is
making the world less safe by allowing your leader to 'push' his agenda on the
rest of us.

He isn't the 2nd messiah.  He isn't "all that and then some".  He's an arrogant
little prick from Texas who has no idea about social justice, or moral
fortitude.  Whoever pays him is which way his flag goes.  It is shown to be
true, and you can't refute that.  All those 'friends' who contributed to his
election are now making obscene amounts of money--either thru the war, the
repeal of environmental protections, or other Dubya enactments.

Oh but I could go on.

Dave K
-what--you think 'cause Richard's been ex-communicated that you'd get a free
ride now?  That this would somehow magically change into "Hey, JOHN's
interpretation of events are miraculously clear to all now that Hoppy's not
here!"
