Just noticed what might appear to be a contradiction here. Not
really, if memory serves. The few times I have heard "might white"
mean something that could be interpreted as racist towards non-whites,
it was also clearly meant as an insult to the white person as well -
if that makes sense.
In MY head, though, I guess I hear it more as a slur against the
person who is being called might white, mainly for the reasons Mike P.
brought out.
