Actually, current catalogs *are* prohibited, but the intention is to prevent
sellers from circumventing the fee structure by selling a catalog cheaply, then
having buyers order from the original seller (makes sense to me).  To quote:

Catalog Sales
Listings of catalogs from which buyers may order further items directly are
prohibited. The seller will usually offer the
catalog for low bid prices and complete offline sales for items found in the
catalog, which subsequently circumvents
our fees.

Policy: These types of listings are not permitted and will be ended. The
insertion fee will be automatically credited for
that listing.

Larry is thus perhaps technically off-base, but is not violating the spirit of
the rule because buyers can't order things from him (he isn't circumventing the
fee structure).  Perhaps somebody should offer an out-of-date catalog?

Quoting from the note from ended@ebay.com:

"Catalogs are included in the list of items that are not allowed for
sale on eBay."

Just went through their entire list.  Catalogs are most definitely
NOT on the list.  I'm going to search through their listings and
post auction refs for catalogs here - you can do with them as you
see fit.
