I read the FAQ. I realized shipping times were longer than expected. I
still consider 6 months unacceptable turnaround.

Another longtimer here who admits to being "very slow" in getting out
auction sets STILL managed to keep me up to date/get my sets out
before my frustration meter topped. I don't know if it was the
personal contact, or the email saying "This is current status on your
sets" that made the difference in his case.

Lastly, I want to thank Sarah for bringing up this topic for a couple of
reasons.  Firstly, I am sure that many people feel as she does and may be
frustrated with the delay.  Getting the topic discussed will make everybody
informed on the why and how of Auczilla auctions, and stop any "stewing".
Second, with all that Todd does for Lego enthusiast (especially here on
Lugnet) it might have seemed taboo to voice concerns, here on Lugnet, about
another project he organizes.  I think that Todd will be grateful for the
discussion; he has never shied away from feedback, good or bad.  Thirdly,
Sarah brought up the subject in an intelligent and respectful manner.

If it was anyone other than Todd (or Larry. Or Mike) that I was having
the problem with AND owned the server, I probably would not have
brought it up here. I know that Todd will not mind criticism of what
he does. He won't be upset, pull up shop and go home. Plus, (and this,
too, keeps me from being as upset as I would be with someone else
doing the same thing) I suspect that he, too, realizes the times are
unacceptable.

Someone else mentioned that the reason it is so long is so that the
next AucZILLA auction can get up and running so quickly.

Personal preference, sure, but I would prefer that this auction's
winnings got out faster even if that meant more time between auctions
-- gives folks a chance to build up their money reserves as well
between the two.

(...) I think that was me. :-) But I was running a very, very small set auction, not a parts auction. Margins are higher on sets, and smaller auctions admit of more personal attention. Both factors contribute to personal updates... Also, I got (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)

Perhaps a Princess... ...valid questions... <snip> I started back into Lego just before Auczilla 7 (A7), and was very happy to find out about parts auctions. Here was a way to bulk up on needed pieces without having to buy entire sets. I entered (...) (26 years ago, 16-Dec-98, to lugnet.market.auction)
