  Re: NMRA 2000 Successful

Wow, great stuff. I liked everything, but I also must add that I LOVED your diner. Every once and a while when I see a model I exclaim "I wish I had thought of that!" So, now I'll just have to be inspired by it. I am definately going to build one. (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

  Re: NMRA 2000 Successful

Thank you, James. Your station was obviously an influence on mine and when I add to the interior, I am sure the similarities will be more obvious. In fact, I was about 80% done with a replica of your station when I decided that I was more into (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

Wonderful pictures. I was especially attracted to the incredibly large white and glass train station! (URL) certainly dwarfs my station of a similar design. (...) 1000 is definitely way too much, at this point. I think GMLTC typically looked for some amount that would cover the expenses (gas, budget lodging if it was a long way away from MSP, etc.)... 100 seems reasonable, maybe a bit more.
