On Sat, 13 Feb 1999 17:02:38 GMT, Todd Lehman uttered the following
profundities...
In lugnet.announce, richard.dee@nospam.virgin.net (Richard Dee) writes:
Lego Easter Eggs!
Seen in the UK today, cost GBP4.99!
Contains 1 of 4 sets and a big, chocolate easter egg!
See my site for a picture of the packaging. Select
the egg reference on the side.

Cool!  So what's the "Surprise LEGO Toy" they mention?  Is it one of those
FreeStyle models shown in the picture?

p.s.  Tip:  Always (always, always :-) test web pages after uploading them
and before telling people to look there.  The SRC attribute of your <IMG>
tag is wrong -- it says:

   <IMG SRC="G:/images/legoegg.jpg" WIDTH=583 HEIGHT=601>

which causes a broken image link because the browser tries to load

   http://freespace.virgin.net/richard.dee/G:/images/legoegg.jpg

which doesn't exist.

I did test it! And it loaded it just fine! (OF COURSE IT DID!,
as it looked on my hard drive!)
Anyway, I have corrected it. Please accept my apologies for
any inconvenience.

Set I received was 1825, a 1997 polybag, which is the model
on the bottom right. I can assume that the eggs have been
available since then. The other 3 are 1824, 1826 and 1827,
which are in Pause. So, Todd, for the database, some
info you can put in! Year 1997. Pieces for this one I
will let you know. As to the other 3, it will have to
wait for the day after Easter, when I can buy them for
half price! The cost is £4.99 BTW....

(...) My apologies then for concluding that you didn't test it! :) I'm curious, what web browser did you use to test it... I thought SRC="file:///...etc..." was necessary to include local files... --Todd [followups set to lugnet.publish] (25 years ago, 13-Feb-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
