    New sets for 2001... finally —Eric Lanteigne
   I bought yet another 3033 today and while I was sorting it, I stumble on a new pamphlet. This is probably not new to a lot of people but this is what I found: (Those are not particularly the official names. I'm just trying to give a very short (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.general) !!

     Is this this 2001 catalog??! Plase scan the whole thing at 100dpi (with magazine descreen) and upload it to ftp://ftp.brickshelf.../incoming/ (or email it to me at kloch@opnsys.com).       Hmmm.... I think the ATST looks OK actually (Not brilliant, just OK). The head looks great, but the legs look a tad iffy... But then again, there's a lot of Star Wars sets that I've looked at the picture on the box and gone 'That's Poo!', but once (...) (24 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

      Thanks for the pic Eric. Some of the new Star Wars looks nice. The Tie looks good, but can't tell about the pilot or stormtrooper really without a better pic. I remember quite clearly that in addition to the TIE toy being the wrong color, it also had only one laser light that was the wrong color (red) when it should have been green! They (...)       It's hard to tell because the picture is fuzzy. I can't see how they would make the wall translucent orange, just to have a blue window. I guess I'll have to wait and see.       There could be Train- TLC hardly ever puts S@H exclusives in the little booklets. There were about 7 Train sets released in 1999, but the booklet only showed the one sold in stores.      I would hope that Town has not been discontinued! It has been the mainstay of LEGO since 1955, when the "TOWN PLAN" system was introduced.      Oh, I don't know, Technic is pretty good - the Silver Champion ROCKS (I can't BELIEVE I've had one for almost a month and still haven't built it! Shows how busy I've been).
