I sort most of my bricks by size and color.  However, I have a large

This bin includes portions of my childhood collection as well as collections
aquired from some other children.

I'm always amazed at the non-LEGO stuff I find in this collection.

I have found:

thumb-tacks (removed after I was impaled)
a football figure
coins
plastic model pieces from the 70's (my favorite is a radar antenna from the
original Star Trek Enterprise)
wires and pieces of wire covering (I was into electronics)
a plastic cover for an old relay (again from my electronics hobby)
misc. bits of paper
various unidentifiable small toys.
some Brix-Blocs pieces (these pre-date the LEGO pieces)
The tail fin of a balsa wood airplane

What interesting things have you found in your LEGO collection?

Only a handful of old "Battleship" game pegs in red and white; they fit in a
LEGO cylinder stud hole perfectly and served as "torpedoes" for my fighters.

best

Lindsay
