Hi Eric,

I'm glad your family appreciates your hobbies at last.

On the same note, my sister (22) is visiting me know from Israel. She is NL
too, and although she knows I'm all into lego, she was surprised to see how my
collection grew in the past 6 months (1). She was even more surprised to hear
it was all from my pocket. I showed her a bit, she had checked out my site
earlier but not in so much depth.
Then, in the evening, she saw me on lugnet and started asking questions,
like "who runs it?", "how old are these people?", and "Are there any girls
except for you?"...
After I explained a bit about lugnet and rtl, I showed her the spotlight. She
saw CLSOTW, so I showed her some sites.

Her conclusions:
People can do cool things with lego.
Lego fans do, sometimes, have a life.
(Hey, I don't have a life, so you can see were she got the idea :)

I'll cut the talk now and wish us all some supportive NLF's, S's and SO's...

-Shiri

(1) US has been good to me (2). Not only is lego cheaper, but I earn about
twice as much from baby-sitting :-)

(2) Only on lego issues, tho'. I don't like it here and if it weren't for
lego, I'd have much more resistive forces against staying. But every time I
say I want to go back to Israel, my parents just say "lego, license" (3) and I
melt... ;-)

(3) This is getting way o-t, but just to explain - Israel one can only get a
license at the age of 18. Here I can start driving at 16.

Yesterday I had a neat experiance with my in-laws who were over for the afternoon. First a little background. My in-laws are well aware of my LEGO addiction and I have always felt a bit uncomfortable around them because I got the definite fealing (...)
