      (...) renderings is to work more on the surface/colour definition within POV-Ray. The one which are the default from LGEO or L3P are probably not the optimal ones.       Fantastic renderings ! Both ! The Brazil 3D-Studio and the POV-Ray. Now the question is: how can we "normal" users (without Silicon graphic equipment ;-) ) make SO NICE renderings ?!       no, its been renamed the autokickasstweak button. seriously I want a step by step tutorial on this image.        (...) was what was holding the yellow mini-fig up in the air. :-) I think it qualifies as a quite realistic image. You might want to look into the blur around the black mini-fig.        Just wanted to add my 2 cents about the wonderful images that have been posted. I use Bryce for to render my images.        Here's a little followup about my experimentation (along with a new test image-> (URL) ). My festivities have hit a big snag when I tried using transparent pieces.        Just to add that I made my pictures with L3P parts. Started a picture with LGEO parts over an hour ago, and it's still only on line 129 of 480. No traces of any black spots yet, though.       Hi Anders - I'm using this code, with amazing results!! I've tweaked the assumed_gamma and reflection values to get a good LEGO look.      Wow... now that's what I'd like to see in my animations. But the render times are just impossible. A 15 second clip would take a month rendering!      With some personal help from Jeroen de Haan I finally succeeded in making an almost realistic picture. I now need a faster computer!!
