what does this mean?

Then I ran it through L3P:
   l3p ks2556 -b15 -f19 -cg11,52,-5 -ca45
and made the POV file available at

Does this have something do with the lighting?

If you take a look at http://www.nikclark.com/BRAZIL/2002/lego1.jpg • you'll
see a great raytrace of a Formula 1 car....

Yes, truly amazing!
But now have a look at what POV can do...
("with a little help from my fiends" :-)

I started 3 1/2 years ago but never finished building the 2556 in LDraw
http://news.lugnet.com/cad/?n=971
so I grabbed the Ferrari by Kenneth Storm from
http://www.leocad.org/models/old/models.htm
and in LeoCAD I exported a DAT file, ks2556.dat
Then I ran it through L3P:
   l3p ks2556 -b15 -f19 -cg11,52,-5 -ca45
and made the POV file available at
http://home16.inet.tele.dk/hassing/ks2556.zip
Next I asked the remarkably talented people at povray.org
what they could do with that scene
http://news.povray.org/povray.newusers/26913/
and look what came up...

Wow!
Like Jonathan said: POV-Ray has nothing to envy to Brazil, when it comes • to quality.
