  Snapshots in MLCad

This is either a request for info on MLCad, or a feature request, I'm not sure. I would like to be able to load a model, go into edit view and move down a bunch of parts, orient the oblique view so the parts are all visible, then print a picture of (...)   Re: MLCAD rotation (future request)

(...) The original definition for MPD states that data before the first 0 FILE statement will be ignored. This is because it was assumed that MPD streams would appear mostly in e-mail messages with included DAT content. Something like: ===...=== Hi! (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: MLCAD rotation (future request)

(...) But an include function is different from a subfile function. Basically, anything in a subfile is scoped to that subfile, and doesn't exist outside of the subfile. Yet another reason for a 0 INCLUDE (or 0 MACRO) meta-statement. Steve (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Rubber bands?  [DAT]

This model, called the litewing, uses a rubber band to turn the engine when the wheels move. I built the ruber band piece by bent piece using a light saber blade that I scaled down. To make a part smaller, it's best to put it into the default center (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Questions

|I also have some questions, having just installed MLCAD 1) Is there a CAD/LDRAW/MLCAD FAQ anywhere? 2) When you download a file from cad.dat.models, how do you know if it should be a DAT file or a MPD file? 3) Why, when i click the DAT link in the (...)   Re: MLCAD rotation (future request)

I like this idea of storing the rotation data. But I wouldn't restrict it to mpd but store it in any dat file ... This allows having different rotation points per sub-model. I will forsee something like the statement suggested from Sproaticus (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Rubber bands?

How does one add rubber bands (the kind that come with a lot of Technic sets, esp. the star wars sets) to a model in MLCad, or any other lego cad program for that matter? Thanks, -Peter (24 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Golden Astronaut helmets? and Breastplates?

Hi, I'm using MLCad to model an "Original Model" (6457 from 1999, sorry no scan on brickshelf) for the inventory and model repository; but with a few pieces, I'm pretty much stumped: 1) MLCad doesn't seem to have a color for those "golden" helmets.   Re: tubing
