How does one add rubber bands (the kind that come with
a lot of Technic sets, esp. the star wars sets) to a model in MLCad,
or any other lego cad program for that matter?

Thanks,
-Peter

It should be possible.
You can add a ring (with the diameter of the rubber band)
and curve it like you do with flexible hoses
It should work but it is a lot of work.
See
Richard Goldfinder's bezier curve generator
ftp://ftp.eskimo.com/u/g/goldfndr/lego/bezier.zip

Mostly I add them later on with Paint in the BMP-file along with numbers and
arrows.
I add a text in the DAT file about the missing pieces.
