Right now, there isn't any good way to handle rubber bands in L-CAD programs.
LDraw's language was written to handle objects that don't change size or shape.
The current popular approach to strings, rubber bands, tubes, hoses, etc. is
to avoid them.
The second most popular approach is to make a custom part-file (or a submodel
file) for the rubber band, in the shape you need. Unfortunately, tools like
MLCAD won't help you with this. And I don't think the current tools for
bendable parts (like the hoser spreadsheet) will really help with rubber bands.

| How does one add rubber bands (the kind that come with a lot of Technic sets, esp. the star wars sets) to a model in MLCad, or any other lego cad program for that matter? Thanks, -Peter (24 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
