Hey, those "Striders" are really cool-looking. They remind me of the "Emancipator" Herculans from Dynamix's Starsiege game. Same torso, only the Emancipator's pods were above and below the cockpit instead of the sides. (25 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.mecha)

Thanks Matt! I don't know too much about digital camera's or really where you could borrow them since I don't use them myself, I use LDRAW and MLCAD which, escpecially the latter, are like CAD programs and let you construct your model on your (...) Hey Mladen, pretty neat mech! I knew all those Infiltrator parts were good for something! I just finished a "UCS" Imperial Shuttle, and I'm very proud of it. Here's a little secret: Put a small, narrow strip of Saran Wrap around each end of the black friction pin. It'll work wonders for your mecha. You'll find that they can support much more weight this way. Enjoy. ~Mark (25 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ah the ever popular "gestalt" transformer. I've thought about it, but I haven't attempted in recent times. Perhaps I should.... hmmmm. (...) No, but it sounds like a good idea. I had an idea for a duck mecha that could walk, the fly and pull the wings in as the bottom of the boat. Wow, thisose bring back *so* many memories of Futuron and Classic Space Sets! My favourite models are the Intruder, A-9 Transport, Gyrfalcon Fighter, and my most favourite are the Colony Ship (way too creative and cool!) and the Explorien Troop (...) Thanks James, and yes it does hold a mini-fig, that's why it has *hatch*! And I don't hate FASA, I actually like some of their smaller mechs, like the Raven, and the Locust! Regarding the X-Wing, LEGO did the mini-fig scale one and the Master (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

In a blur of Mlcading I completed a dat model of my J-21 Repair Mech (I like mech over mecha). The minifig operator of this mech seems to making claims about his prowess as a fisher. We-ellll.... ok, I'll admit it. I took the nearly-useless Throwbot shooter arms and cut them off near the ball-joint (where there's a technic axle shape) This allows them to be set into anything that can accept a technic axle.
