On my "Hades" model, I used the large technic springs that came with the
Insectoid vehicles (whatever is it called anyway?  My name for it when
playing is "Odanta.")

My CAD-version of the Hades abandons the spring locks in favor of friction
joints with brick locks designed by Ron Perovich.  I basically took his Mad
Cat legs and redesigned them to be to scale with my Hades.
