Well, it is a preference kind of thing. With my limited mech building
skills, my first attempt with TECHNIC parts have been less than successful,
but using new parts in creative ways is what LEGO creations are about. I
plan on using them, but if I find a really neat way without, that's fine as
well. Be happy, build well, and have a great time!
