Alright i'm probably gonna get lynched for this one but here goes- does • anybody
NOT use the click hinges for joints? i realize it is a great piece, but it • seems
to me to be a little bit of a "cheat" if you will. of course i'm not • condemning
anyone for it, but i would love to see a more creative hinge solution. just
asking- please prove me wrong. thanks. moish

I don't get it. How on earth is a click-hinge a "cheat"? Or do you perhaps
mean that you regard the click-hinge solution as not original enough? Well,
frankly I'll take the less creative/original solution when it is vastly
superior to all previous alternatives, both in terms of looks and mechanical
support.

However, a long time ago (before click-hinges) I formulated a hinge solution
that was completely pure, more versatile than the click-hinge, and
potentially even stronger. To this day, I have not seen a mecha that uses
it. For a while I'd been toying with the idea of making a REALLY big[1]
mecha/robot that uses the hinges, but I've become so sick of looking at
zillions of Lego mecha[2] that I've lost interest and been more into other
types of creation. Still, I'd like to use it one of these days, before
someone else uses it first :-)

Cheers,
