When I build a dropship, I start with the cargo area, because the internal space requirement and my parts inventory are the only binding constraints. (Luckily, we Lego (...) Thanks everyone so far for the replies! My two downfalls are lack of new parts and lack of ball joints (and all of the bricks required to make them work, such as those 1x2's with the "+" holes...just WHERE do you find those?). Hey, I spotted this on Brickshelf earlier. Nice mech! I like the shape, and very tricky joint work. It looks like it packs the details of a very large machine into a smaller package. Cool model. When i saw the first thumbnail I thought that was an actual reference pic of the true ed-209! My only beef is with the connection of the arms to the torso, it seems like you could add some bricks or plates to make it seem beefier, rather (...) Rakshi heads are the coolest aren't they! As for brick joints, perhaps a trip to the LMHoF would help. There you can see lot's of ways people use different kinds of parts to help create the limbs on various kinds of Mecha. Also, feel free to ask or (...) Apart from the forward guns, this one doesn't do it for me. The legs seem comically thin, and the main body is kind of bland. Not to say that the design is garbage, just needs some refinement. Hi, VERY nice model.I really like the "bristling with guns" look. ALl of those cannons poking out really make it seem more insectoid. I am not sure if using Bionicle parts is fully acceptable in this group, but this is my first MOC Mecha. I found it easier to use Bionicle parts because of the joints. Jon and all scientists at Robriq Research, Excellent build. PCSLabs built one ourselves and it operates quite well with the PCS troopers. Pete, I'm usually not into robots/mecha but this made me go "whoa". :) Awesome job. You could also do more abstract thumbs that use only a small portion of the image, but then you would need some descriptions (...) Since they were so small we figured the distortion wouldn't be that bad, compared to simply clipping the image. (This is all automatic of course. So cropping on (...)
