Thanks, Paul. :)

nice non symmetrical detailing
a innovative way of using the blue panels sideways

They turned out a lot better than I expected when I first started. Not
having any of the 1/4 domes that match them, this was the only option I had.
It worked pretty well. I'll be doing more with them in the future. Once I
have the heart to take this thing apart..

a SEALUG airlock ;-)

Hmm. Maybe, I guess... it's not like the one that Wayne of SEALUG(?) came up
with, or that Mark used in the Bricriu<sp> though. It's something I've seen
a lot of people use, Jon Palmer comes to mind as well, I believe. Too many
others to mention, but I have to thank them all (you know who you are!!)

sideways containers, nice idea

I believe I got this from Mark/Wayne and the '50s styled rocket they are
working on. I seem to remember that Mark had a picture of this mind blowing
row of the containers mounted like this, used as lockers. There were like 15
or more in a row.. it was just awesome. I'm pretty sure this is where I saw
it. I just looked, though, and cannot find any pics of this in Mark's
Brickshelf folders so... Mark? am I right or have I finally begun confusing
people's MOCs??

hey now, access panels! weird, i just build a
hallway w/ a double floor and access panels,
was gonna werk it into a MOC soon.  ah well,
a great mind thinks alike...

It kind of came about due to my use of the saucer 'bottoms' from the Falcon.
There wasn't a layout that I liked using them as the deck floor, and I
didn't really want a multi deck ship. I like the entry ramp that way, but
the over all layout wasn't thought out that way. The access panels were just
a natural progression and use of some of the wasted space. Sadly there is a
lot more that I COULD have used but didn't.

i like this one http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=35898

That panel allows some access to the airlock pumps and such. :)

so a few questions:

where'd you get the purple hose?
also,
in the back there is a grey piece w/ a black rectangle
on it and some grey dots.  what is it, and from whence
does it hail? what sets? part # ?
it is also in this pic
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=35880

The hose was from one of two Cyberslam sets that I own. Either
8266 or 8269.

The brick you're talking about was in the Shell gas station 6378 (it has 2),
and in the Shell parking garage 6394 (It has 1). It's used as part of the
gas pumps.

large leafed plants? from where?

The darker ones came from several of the Amazon adventurers sets.
The light green ones actually came from the Shell Promo Belville beach party
set. I don't know the set #, though.  Anyone else know it?

1x2 tile w/ some indistinguishable picture on it.
where is it from? what's on it? (not the blacktron
tile, the other one.)
also in this pic
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=35889

It's the 'film' from the Amazon Adventurer's sets that is in the cameras.
The crew is apparently a big fan of the Johnny Thunder movie series. :)
(what I still can't figure out is.. they're a million miles in space..where
the heck did they get that traffic cop's hat??(1)) The crew has a sense of
humor - hence the stopsign stolen from the last planet they were on.. and
the "authentic frontier sign from the bad guy hide out". ;)

there is a 1x2 tile on the desk in the upper left room
and another by the flowers.  what are they and from where?
(i have the 2x2 map)

The one by the flowers is the Johnny Thunder film tile from the Egyptian
theme. The Captain is also, apparantly a fan of the series. ;)

The 'ledger book' on the desk is from the Exxon station from the early 80's
- 6371 (No I don't have the set..wish I did. It came with an extra sticker
that a friend who did have the set gave me. I'm forever grateful to him.
It's an awesome sticker).

constructive criticism:
not enough engine room, those thrusters deserve a nice one.

Lack of bricks and plates. I'd have done it happily otherwise. ;P

(speaking of which, what sets have those wheels?)

8428 Turbo Command set(the one with the CDROM)

lame landing gear ;-)

yeah yeah. I know. :P I'm still debating whether or not to go back and rip
the hull apart to fix it but I'm not sure I want to.

I really like this MOC
there is a lot going on in there
even down to the minifig headgear from aquazone
that has the little lights coming up over the shoulders.

Those are the space hardsuits for getting outside to repair the ship and
such. Space doesn't always have an abundance of ambiant like to see the
coolant hose for the reactor when you're trying to use a spanner to torque
it down. :)

details details details, i love it,
this one reminds me of my M.E.D.I.C. somewhat
and the red/grey is a color scheme i have planned to
use someday, i like it

very satisfying MOC
thx

Thanks for the kind words, Paul.

not well enough off to offer anything more. ;)
